How About...Eyjafjallajokull

And Eyjafjallajokull continues with his mischievous behaviour.

Once more, Eyjafjallajokull is leaving scientists and society astonished. What you see to your left is the reason why...

Geologist Joseph Licciardi of the University of New Hampshire, caught this amazing picture of Eyjafjallajokull, this incredible ring of steam and gas.

It took five minutes for the ring to dissipate, but explanations are still waiting, scientists have not been able to discover why this happens. This is quite similar to the phenomenon occurred at Mount Etna, Sicily in year 2000 (right)

We must wait and see what else Eyjafjallajokull has for us, in the mean time we should enjoy of the incredible mother nature.

Thanks.

I.

  1. Hi!!!

Wow, that's awesome. I remember I saw one ring in 2006, but I don't remember if it was a rainbow ring or a ring like the one above. Nevertheless is pretty amazing to see a circle in the sky and not knowing why is there.

    See you later.
    bye
